How to Cut a Cream Pie
Helpful tips from Tippin’s for cutting the perfect slice of cream pie, such as French Silk, Key Lime, Coconut Cream, Lemon Supreme, etc.
1) Cream pies are stored in the refrigerator, so leave in the refrigerator until ready to slice.
2) Place a long serrated knife across the pie and press gently to cut through the edges of the crust. You’re just scoring the pie and marking the top, not cutting all the way through.
3) Wipe the knife with each press to keep the cream as neat as possible. Repeat to score the pie into six slices.
4) Now use a paring knife to cut into the pie along the score lines. Start in the center of the pie and draw the knife out, cutting through the bottom crust. Wipe the knife after each cut.
5) Serve and enjoy!
