Q. Where are you from?
A. I am originally from a small town called Highland in southern Illinois, though I’ve called the KC Metro area home for most of the last 25 years.
Q. What do you do at Tippin’s?
A. I’m the procurement and regulatory manager, as well as the obscure trivia guy.
Q. What do you like about working at Tippin’s?
A. There are a lot of good people working here, and the Tippin’s brand has a great history and reputation. I’m glad I get to add something to that tradition and history.
Q. What do you do outside of working at Tippin’s?
A. I’m an avid outdoorsman and traditional archer. I also teach traditional and Medieval archery at our local Renaissance festival every fall.
Q. If you had a day off work, what would you do?
A. It’s springtime, so I’d probably be out in the woods looking for morel mushrooms (I don’t eat them, but I have friends that do), and seeing which berry patches are likely to have fruit in a couple of months.
Q. Favorite type of music/band/song
A.I like a lot of different music, but don’t ever ask me to sing. No one wants that.
Q. What time period would you travel to in a time machine? And why?
A. The far future looks pretty neat, at least according to Gene Rodenberry
Q. What’s your favorite pie?
A. Dixie, I mean caramel apple, I mean…
Q. If you could create a new pie flavor what would it be?
A. I made some really good pear meringue pies at a Medieval reenactment event last summer using an open fire and a couple Dutch ovens. It would be interesting to see if that would translate well to something Tippin’s can do.
